[:1]Right now I'm 76 and I'm trying to get to 85 , but when I do I wanna get as many rares as I can because I'm on a low population realm so ther shouldn't be much competition for pets as a high population realm because I'm gonna realm change to korgoth ,so plz list the pets I should get need a good one for mm , and a lot of bm ones.
I'm a far from an expert - but here goes:
Last night I got Terrorpene: he's the turtle in Hyjal - but I did it at level 82 and I needed a healer to get him. He hits a ton if you're not being healed, you'll die. He's level 81 I believe. He's a rare elite turtle - great tanking pet. He shows as red (hostile) and not yellow on your mini-map
Gondria: Level 77 Spirit Beast Pet - found in Zul'Drak. On a low pop density server he should not be hard to find. He shows as a yellow on the mini map. Easy tame - just pop an ice trap, hit tame - he's yours.
Loq : Aint found this bugger yet - but, IMO, most hunted pet in the game. You'll go nuts flying around trying to find him as his spawn points are spread out and EVERYONE hunts him. Shows as yellow on your mini-map. Ice trap and tame.
Also - it really depends - getting one of the rare elites each is NICE, but ultimately, even at level 82 you can only have 5 pets "loaded" - and you really want to have the right pet for the right situation.
Tank: Turtle is nice, but as a BM, he's low damage, but with the right talents dang hard for a mob to kill if you keep healing him.
Damage: Either kitty or dino : I use both (inc spirit beast as kitty)
PvP - again depends on the person you're facing: Remember, a good hunter doesn't just "rush in" - you're a peripheral of the battleground toon - if it's Melee get a BoP (Bird of Prey) for the disarm - a Caster get a sporebat (slows casters) or something that will do interupts.
Don't be "stuck" with 1 pet - be one of those guys who dismisses a pet that is not optimum, and calls the one that is - it takes 3 seconds (2 sec for dismiss and 1 "instant" to call the pet) - and send them in. Keep range and don't get sucked into the middle of the battle. Battles are fluid and keep your head on a swivel and keep yourself at the edge.
Oh - one last tip - some PvP players in BG's are smart - they will run away far enough, with your pet following, to make your pet "disappear" - if that starts to happen, put pet on passive, to get him/her to disengage, and then re-set to defensive or aggressive as needed for the next attack.
I know this post meandered a bit, but your question is about getting elites, and I was unclear for what purpose you wanted them: for their uses, or just to "have" them.
