No more auto targeting!

From the front page of MMO Champion. http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/

Hunters will no longer automatically acquire a new target if the current target dies in the middle of a cast.
Aimed Shot and Steady Shot should no longer start casting Auto Shot on a new target when the "Stop Auto Attack" option enabled.
Auto Shot now automatically turns off until reactivated once Freezing Trap is cast on an enemy player.

I've tested this on the current PTR and none of my hunters will target a mob unless I choose to. I'm not sure if it solves all the problems that other hunters were having, but it works for me.../cry

Good Hunting
Does this mean my Days of Spamming Arcane Shot to Auto-Target mobs is over?

lol, i'm really confused about this patch and i'd rather not try to understand how it works until the patch is released (9th October 2012) but what i understand so far is that no longer our proud and heroic Hunters ^ be name the "Huntard", glad to see the end of that...

Seriously Blizzard

I always thought it was just some kids being trolls but it seems everytime i tank a dungeons on my Warrior theres a Hunter auto shooting random mobs....durp
Yup, Blizz tried to screw over the hunter again, but there is a way around it.

Make a macro like this

/targetenemy
/cast arcane shot

or which ever shot your tryin to use. Just remember, its not like auto target, this aims and fires at the same time, no target choice, so use it only if you don't have time to pick your target, say in pvp, or a dungeon with a brain dead tank.
