[:1]Greetings Hunter community!
I'd like to in this thread address any and all aspects that we personally like or dislike in regard to the hunter class. Please keep in mind that its just as important - if not moreso - to discuss what has been done with hunters that you feel was a step in a good direction. I'd also like to ask that any critical analysis be conveyed in a constructive and respectfull manner, so that some helpfull light can be shed on any issues we collectively feel need to be looked over.
First off, I'd like to share my barely extensive and most likely biased perspective of hunters.
The Facts: We are a pure class; We deal physical damage from long range.
The ladder part in itself sets hunters apart from any other class in the game, which I feel contributes to our sense of uniqueness. I have played nearly every class competitively in both spectrums of gameplay at level cap, (with the exception of death knights and paladins) and only recently have hunters began to interest me. Originally I felt that having to deal with ammo, pet happiness, auto-shots ticking at the right time and whatnot- hunters required a lot of time that could be spent more efficiently by simply playing other classes.
So when people complain about these minor alterations and recycling passive, boring aspects of the class, I will tell them:
No, hunters have NOT become oversimplified.
We have more active talents for survival, CC, , interruption, and on demand burst than ever before. This makes the class more complex, and gives that fast paced "reactive" feel. Many players do not know how or when effectively use their talents if they are under the impression that with improvements to mobility and battiefield control, that hunters have any less potential to succeed than other pure classes at the time. There have been many recent additions to the hunter class and they have probably experienced one of the biggest class overhauls in WoW history, but they are definately moving in a more functional direction.
.....
I want to use rocket launchers and AR15's instead of boring rifles.
Oh and I want my pet to have it's own mount, because that's how I roll.
