Tranq shot costs 20 focus (5 seconds of focus regen without steady/cobra and atleast 2 seconds of focus with 100% uptime on these shots (which is unrealistic)) and a gcd, but it has no prioritizing. Often times i have to use 10+ seconds of focus regeneration (3+ shots) just to get off a simple buff like priest shield or the more essential pally wings. With wings, pallies can hit me for 40k damage every 6 seconds at range (despite 3200 resil) unless i blow 80 focus on tranq shotting off wings, only to be followed by freedom which i could no longer tranq shot off due to being focus drained.
My suggestion to solve this problem would be to make tranquilizing 10-15 focus, allow it to debuff 2 buffs, or, my favorite solution, give it a priority to debuff bubble or wings before things like might, fort, and tiny other buffs which are almost useless (might and fort are not useless but are easily replaced and dont impact a battle like bubble/wings.)
my suggestion is you or a teammate who can also dispel, scour buffs at the start of matches, that way you can get important buffs off as soon as they are on them.
often priest bubbles can be protected by 3 stacks grace, or shadow orbs or something. if you see this you are honestly better off outdpsing it.

Think of Random Hunter Abilities...
That would be cool but completely broken! Or at least changes to the current ones.
Here are mine:
-When a BM hunter's pet dies, they enter an enraged state where they are immune to CC (Old beast within)
-Army of the dead ripoff: 10 minute CD, the hunter summons all five active pets at once and reduces pet damage by 75%. Would last for like 15 seconds.
-Mirrored blades would be made baseline, and counterattack would no longer be based off a proc but always usable with a short CD (maybe 7 seconds).
-When survival hunters FD they gain 10% of their base health every 2-3 seconds, but the timer on the HoT would get reset every time they took non DoT damage.
Banana Trap
Scatters banana peels over a 10 yard radius, causing afflicted targets to slip and fall continuously.
Would it play sound effects?
This ability is full of win :D
Eyes of the Beast.
Allows the hunter to take direct control of his or her pet for a short time (maybe 60 second?) as though *you* were the pet.
How cool would that be?
...oh, wait...
Aspect of the Fish
The hunter takes on the aspects of the Fish, allowing increased swimming speed.
Can only be used in the water.
If used on land, all hunter abilities will be replaced with Splash and can not be taken off unless the hunter is killed or captured with a Pokeball.
Agree make this happen blizz, bonus points it the hunter has a pet monkey or gorilla
QFT - so much win, i don't even...
Call it: "Aspect of the Whale"
That way when you have it activated when on land the tooltip changes to:
"Aspect of the Beached Whale" and your move speed is greatly reduced.
Oh how clever I am ;)
"Bow Strike"
Hits your target with your bow causing 5 physical damage
...Winning?
It occurred to me that hunter's only get one kind of nature trap, and that feels wrong to me.
My suggestion? A couple new ones:
Root Trap: Causes a target to trip temporally. After being activated the trap becomes noticeable, and any other player who walks within 2-3 yards of the trap trip over it as well. Lasts 15 seconds or 5 trips. EDIT: If the target is immune it breaks the root on the ground.
Ankle Trap: Cause the target target's leg to be gripped by a vine. If the target attempts to run away from the trap (25 yards, 20 yards glyphed), the vine pulls the target back to the center of the trap. The target can stop moving for 1-1.5 seconds (could be talented to require more time) in order to untangle his leg. Player will have a debuff on him saying "You're leg is tangled! Hold a second to untagle it!
Spitter Trap: Upon being stepped on the the trap sprays acid into the target's face, increasing miss chance by 20% (acts as poison). Targets casting spells will have their miss chance reduced by up to 10% depending on how long their cast is. (3+ second casts have the smallest miss rate) Lasts 10-15 seconds. (this may or may not be affected by hit rating)
Some of these I not only want, but I could see practical use, and I don't really think it would be too op. Like aspect of the fish, similar to druids aquatic form. The banana peel one kinda reminds me of a mages frost circle.
The army of the dead one could be kinda cool, but I'd like it to be calling up an army of critters. Bonus points if its smart enough to call up critters that match the zone you're in.
Dual-wielding guns....maybe pistols if shotguns would be too OP.
How about the ability to not have a 5 yard range req. for our attacks in pvp
Stampede - Summons multiple beasts to charge at your target and run them over
Anyone remember the beastmasters lvl 6 ability in wc3? That's what im thinking of but its hard to explain... but yea would be cool.
MM
Double tap - Puts two in the back of the skull of a fallen enemy player. Prevents the player from rez for 2 minutes.
BM
The beast I've become. -The hunter and the Pet join together into one form. Diffrent pets make diffent combines. Wolf + hunter =Werewolf Fury warrior like. Hunter + cat Panthar = rogue like. Hunter + turtle Teenage Mutant Ninja turtle... You kick much ass.. but must save April once every 30 minutes. Duration 30 minutes 1 week cool down on TMNT form.
SV
aspect of Rambo- Dual wield any ranged weapon. Gain stealth like a rogue with the ability to one shot with any dagger. and explosive shot now blows up buildings. Must be shirtless.
Pet ability
Sick balls - your a big kid you figure it out.

Anyone else have this?
Feel free to bump this post I made on the bug report forums 5 months ago. I no longer care as I don't play BM.

My pet...
...has 18 days remaing on all his buffs before they fall off. Anyone have this happen? o.O
Wow, seriously? What buff is it this time?
I haven't noticed anything like this recently. But I very clearly remember the call stabled pet bug. Prior to Cataclysm (when we only had our 5 slots total) we could swap pets once an hour (iirc) but it got changed to 5 minutes. When that change happened, a lot of players (myself included) got hit with a 25 day cooldown.

Rotation/Key Bindings
So, I'm going to switch back to my Primary Spec, MM after about ten levels of Beast Mastery, the shots are quick enough to learn again but one thing I'm not sure on, does anyone bind Rapid Fire to any other cooldowns? I'm a big fan of using the numberpad on my keyboard for all my attack shortcuts and I develop mostly macros that combine two or three spells at once in order to keep the key tapping away from my main keyboard. One thing I never got into very well when I was leveling MM was using Rapid Fire. Is there any particular rotation I need to keep in mind or any attack I can bind Rapid Fire with so I can proc it whenever it comes available? Any help will... help :3
Freezing Trap in Arenas
Its expected that the higher up you get with MMR or your Arena rating the better the players will be. However due to this it really frustrates me that the main form of Hunter CC can be countered just by having a team stack on your intended CC target.
I am starting to feel that if a Hunter wants a reliable form of CC they have no choice but to Spec Surv for Wyvern Sting. I don't see why Freezing Trap can't be redisgned into a Sting like Wyvern is.

Is Glyph of Lesser Proportion working?
I had Glyph of Mend Pet as both BM and MM last patch. I since removed the glyph from my MM spec, but I don't notice any difference in pet size when swapping specs. I'm quite disappointed because my wasp is now tinier than my hunter and I'm hoping it's just some bug with the glyph.
My wasp was Princess Huhuran, so I'm assuming that's one of them. I never saw another tamed wasp to compare it to.
Regardless, I don't see any difference in pet size switching between specs.
It must be a lesser proportion, of lesser proportion. I don't notice it either.
It isn't much, I saw a slight difference with my raptor.
the only time I noticed the difference was when I got rid of the glyph with him out, he grew a tiny bit, but personally, hunter minor glyphs are mostly useless, down to only one useful one, FD.
I applied the glyph with a pet out thinking I would see the change made immediately and get a good comparison from before and after the glyph. I didn't even notice the pet change size so either it is so minuscule that It wasn't worth the 60+ gold for the minor or it doesn't work under certain circumstances, either way it's a let down.
