I tried it on my hunter with a group of 5... on the first boss, after the very last egg was destroyed, the boss (at about 80% hp) dropped agro, died instantly, and the room blew up... resetting the event.
How do you get past him?
It was happening the same with my 3 man group last night. Apparently it may have something to do with the mind-controller getting nay kind of interruption during the controlling process. So we made sure to keep all mobs away from whoever was on orbs duty, and voila, it worked.
The rest of the instance is soloable for hunters, but that first boss requires some good friends to spend some time with ya. Good luck!

HAHAHAHAH WHAT?? I would LOOOOVE to see that! Keep in mind I just did this and got Chromaggus last week. The rest is NOT soloable for hunters, don't put horribad information on here please. There is too much of it as it is.
I did this last night. To be fair I did NOT take down Ebonroc and didn't bother with Nef since i tamed Chromaggus already, but I will try to find solutions to both of them, and maybe they aren't. I apologize if I may have been misleading, but the rest of the bosses I did take down. I can explain how I did each boss (aside from the two I mentioned), just ask which boss.

I've solo'd the rest of bwl on this char... I don't see why it couldn't be done on a decent geared hunter as well...?

I agree that the bosses are solo-able for hunters, I just think that the instance itself is not. The suppression rooms alone make BWL unattractive for soloing. And having a healer with you to help tame Chromaggus is just a smart move, the corpse walk + suppression room is a suicide inducing experience.

The suppression room, while being a pain and a half (especially since it still remains even AFTER Broodlord Lashlayer has been killed) was tolerable to an extent. What I did, was to dismiss pet, hug the left side of the room, and Disengage, Readiness, Disengage (might help if you're glyphed into it to shorten the cooldown), summon Bear, FD, have him grab aggro on all collected mobs, kill mobs, dismiss pet, rinse and repeat. Disengage is NOT affected by Suppression, cutting down travel time by a lot.
As for taming Chromaggus, I may have been lucky, but I tamed him before he actually did any kind of damage to me -- just made sure I had HWT instead of my Heroic WFS for haste.
But I agree, that Suppression room is the worst part of BWL. Now that I want to go back and experiment on Ebonroc and Nef, just thinking of that room makes me sad :(

As a druid maybe. I'm sure it might be possible to get past Vael as a good hunter, and some of the other bosses are relatively easy. However, I don't see any hunter getting past the suppression room. We don't have enough survivability by a long shot, and poor aoe to take down the constant harassment of mobs; not even with worm aoe.

Number one: Don't use the worm it will drop aggro once it burrows. Use a bear to mitigate damage. Number two: Don't try to fight mobs, try to get through the room as quick as possible. I went through that room 3 times by myself yesterday (every time Ebonroc killed me i had to rerun the damn thing). Just use the disengage, readiness, disengage, FD, disengage, trick. You'll be jumping backwards through most of this crap.

Thats exactly what I was doing to, disengaging (while the mage was blinking) for fun while the others dealt with the mobs. Though I would still advise not trying to solo the instance. I mean if you were able to convince a couple of people to get you through the first boss, then im sure you can convince them to help you through the rest of the instance...

Without a doubt, it would be much easier and much faster to do it with a group. But I like to try and solo what I can just to see if I can do it -- now that I know I can do it, I would love to bring a bunch of peeps with me to farm ingots, but it's not too easy convincing people to make the trek to Blackrock :)
Hint to the guy talking about ebonroc:
Not sure about all bosses, but Ebonroc IS NOT immune to Distracting Shot.

Nice. Will try later! Just need to get enough distance between pet and myself to kite until debuff goes... great tip!
Easy, I had a mage, priest and warrior friend join me in an incursion into BWL. Took about a 40 mins, we cleared all the damn goblin packs to sell elementium since its worth a lot on AH.
Best part about Chromag is that some of his roars can be heard zone wide in WSG, I am sure its like this for other zones too. If you have seen the pet in action, you know he is the loudest pet in the game, so good
I saw Chrommy on my server, I must get this boss as my pet asap.
Japayuki, keep in mind your gear, you are more highly geared than probably the majority of hunters like myself *sad face* so it's going to be a bit easier. It's a good tidbit to add so some lower geared guy doesn't go in there and rip his hair screaming, JAPAYUKI CAN DO IT, WHY CAN'T I??!!

Keo, to an extent it IS about gear, and I apologize for not stating that earlier, but the mechanics of some of the boss fights actually favor the hunter dynamic very conveniently. A lot of classes have a harder time soloing content because the fight mechanic will DEMAND another body in the area -- fortunately for hunters, we have exactly that.
The first boss: fuggadeboutit. If there's a way for a hunter to do this solo, someone please tell me!
Vael: His Adrenaline buff/debuff will kill the tank -- I completely forgot we had an instant rez called Heart of the Phoenix. Voila! Ferocity pet specced with HoP and 3/3 Great Res, and you got a tanking pet that rezzes. Given that Essence of the Red will allow us to go bananas (no focus! yay!), you are be able to burn Vael down before she kills pet, then rez and finish off the job.
Broodlord Lashlayer: tank and spank with your back to the wall.
Flamemaw: tank and spank and just get out of LOS to remove debuff (you can hit Kill Command without LoS)
Ebonroc: As someone mentioned, it would be about switching aggro using Distracting Shot, kite for a bit, allow pet to regain aggro.
Flamegor: tank and spank and tranq (I had to do this on MM spec with 2 piece t5)
Chromaggus: Haven't tried to solo. May be impossible
Nefarian: Tried twice. Killed me first time, glitched second time and never reappeared after adds went down.
I used a bear for most of the fights, except for Vael, wherein I used a cat that specced almost like it was a tenacity pet. I did not use the 2 piece t5 at all except with Flamegor since I went MM.
As someone stated, it IS faster and easier and more convenient to get a group to do this content. I particularly enjoy trying to do it on my own just to see if I can. Most of the time, I get my ass kicked (my repair bills are pretty horrendous), but when I do get it done, it's pretty fulfilling.
For best results you need a Min of 3 people to get to Chromaggus. I would recommend a tank, healer (pref with DPS offspec) and yourself (I used a pally and Sham). Make sure for the first boss that you keep adds from the Orbs and that when you resume the MC THAT YOU ONLY CLICK IT ONCE! Very important that happens as there is some kind of bug that causes him to bug and detonate the room if you double click.
Avoid as many adds as possible on the way to Ebonroc. I would suggest at this point you just have your pally tank it out or if solo detterence, rocket boots etc etc... into Chromaggus's room and Feign Death. Flip the lever and tame without even taking damage!
For Bosses or Adds that you "must" encounter I strongly recomment any Tenacity Pet specced properly of course (I used my White Polar Bear "CokaCola") he never dropped below 75 HP.

Number one: Worm does not drop agro when it burrows.
Number two: That run through does work. =D
